Just a quick ask, i was wondering about doing something different with my MK2 Cortina, atm she's running a 1600 crossflow and at first i was thinking about supercharging it, but after early posts and contacting different companies, i've had second thoughts on this route. So what now and so i turn to you..... I was hoping that some of you have had some of the following projects:
Firstly, do i go the Zetec route? maybe with bike carbs? its certainly been done afew times and so a wealth of information out there.
Maybe, go the YB Cosworth route? I've seen a video on you tube of a N/A YB in a MK2 and it looks quite good, but probably not easy.
After speaking to Diff on this site, maybe the SR20 or CA18 engine ? this could be the future?
In any of these cases, there is certainly plenty of spares knocking around to put something together.
Finally, as said before, I have a 1600 x-flow atm running on dellorto carbs...is it worth upgrading to bike carbs? much improvement?
