some recent pics . this lancia (therma? something like that) turbo has been left round the way from tashas old place for an age. you cant see from the pic, but green moss is well and truely taking this car for its own! passed this while looking for something else in hitchin recently then spent the weekend up at my mates in essex we went out for a burn in his midget, and we went up to his brothers workshop (www.strictlydubs.co.uk) and took a ride out in a 1.8 turbo Mk2 golf. that goes!! lol got a pic of the midget, but for some reason didnt take any up at the garage a little vid of our journey out there. sadly, it lacks volume but you can still feel it step out ;D we also went up to my mates workshop in romford, and this was parked up. oh, and the bugs in paint too!

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Yup. Wether they're derivatives or not of the original lump and so heavily alterated for FWD purposes that they're no use, however, I do not know.... If that's the one from LB I've looked at it, it was still covered in moss like that 2 years ago, so hasn't really gone far. A lost cause methinks - even when I looked I first thought "that's gone"..... And then I decided it was ugly, not that good and wondered off anyway and found an Audi TT with 3 wheels. But anyway

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Must be tres satisfying to see progress on the bug project. Can I call shotgun for an early ride when it's done? Oh and those Lancia / Fiat 4-pots.... when they go wrong, they REALLY go wrong. My dad had a fiat croma that suffered terminal melt-down, and there was very little salvagable amongst the mangled bits....

All looking good Keefy. Any chance of a pic of the Beetle in its last guise? Pretty sure it was before my time

And the Bug looks HAWT! ;d you sad fcuker! lol yeah, its in Tashas 1.9 TD Fabia. Pretty much VRS spec, but minus the bodykit, wheels, and different FI mapping or something. Sweet motor tho, i love it. the escort was exactly that. you couldnt get any closer than i did or it looked pretty hideous. the paint was poor. the interior was real home brew. but its purposefulness was why i snapped it. it still rules ;D again, cheers for the thumbs up with the bug guys

<anorak> you can tell its not an RS because the trim on the A-pilar is dark in an RS, but not in any other fabia. </anorak> I think that the dash material texture changes on the high spec ones. you're right, they are good motors. one of the quickest fabia's in the UK started out as a tdi like that (not an RS) and now has crazy amounts of power. is tasha's the 110bhp or 130bhp? i quite like that sort of purposful look (vien attempt to get back on topic!)
