My flatmate and I have picked up a nice little addition to our retro ride collection. After both of us searching for about 4 years, we came across a rarity in the Japanese nostalgic world. After seeing one in the junkyard long ago, we vowed that one of us would get one of these. So imagine my surprise when one popped up for sale. Instead of fighting over who got to buy it, we went halves. This is such an amazing design. Up until I came across it on craigslist, I had never seen one outside of two I had seen in the junkyard. So may I introduce GunMachine's newest project, one of the few surviving S10 200SX/Silvias. The Z is my daily by the way.

Bookmarked! I'm not sure they were sold in France but if they are rare in California, non would have survived here... Congrats

Holy Cow Mavis!!!!!
What a design, what lines, love the sweep up after the doors.
As mentioned, never knew, and would be happy seeing that in a cartoon.

Its a different car at least, but great that someone is going to save it.
Getting parts for it must be rather hard i guess ?

yeah, you could get them in France, not in the UK though, Silvia S110 is the designation IIRC... I was very tempted to get a French one back to Britain a while ago...

YES! I ruddy love these. I've spent ages defending the styling of these to people before but very few folks seem to 'get it'. Needless to say, don't listen to anyone who calls it ugly - they are RONG (obviously it helps if you, like myself, truly believe the 1970s were the high water mark of industrial design). First thing you need to do is track down some JDM-style bumpers, the Federal-spec jobbies are hideous and do it no favours whatsoever. The original chrome bumpers are lovely delicate things that will make it look roughly 4,000x better. Add some fender mirrors and tidy the paint and you'll have one of the coolest cars ever made: PHACT.
