The 75 is going for it's MOT this week. Mechanically it appears to be fine, I'm a tad worried about the bodywork..... which is going to be sorted properly over the winter. Pics here: (now resized to something more bandwidth friendly) The damage is: Small holes at the bottom of the rear arches in the door shuts Nearly a hole under the nearside tail-lamp Some stone chip damage on the leading edge of the roof Minor bubbling on the leading edge of the bonnet. Nearside rear arch non-existant under the plastic arch trim. I'm having the rear arches cut out and replaced along with the holes in the door shuts done soon - but they're no worse than they were when I got a pass last year. What's the odds? I'm not hopeful.

Heh.
Yeah, should have re-sized 'em. But I just dumped 'em there for a car restoration company to have a look at, hence the detail.

No sharp edges. I've covered the holes with gaffa tape and the arch is covered by the bodykit.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that nothing structural has rotted.
I only want an MOT so I can hawk it around the local bodyshops / classic specialists for quotes on the resto work.

Nah, that's the brazed joint between rear 3/4 panel and rear slam panel on the nearside.
They all do that there.
Probably going to be the hardest part to sort out, to be honest.

Hey, that doesn't look too bad at all. The JonnySierra MOT guide says "place car on two axle stands, open doors, then lower car onto ground. If doors don't close, don't bother MOTing it". ;D Best of luck, I've got my own Banzai - style "Corrosion Conundrum" coming up in a week or two...

Well, that's the rear arch trim stuck back on using..... a hot glue gun. Not the neatest of jobs, but it's back on.
The hole in the first picture has ended up being the mother of all bodges - just for cosmetic reasons. I ran out of body filler and chemical metal, so I grabbed the tub of quick-drying polyfiller from the garage shelf and smoothed it over with that. Just waiting for it to dry, then it's a quick coat of white undercoat to hide it.
That'll do. I reckon with a quick blat up and down the bypass to remove surface corrosion from the brakes and to de-glaze 'em, I'm sorted.
