evening , I'm a leccy numpty so can anyone help.
I have 12v between terminals on both fogs when on , if I put bulbs in they don't light and the voltage is 0 , any ideas?

i know this isn't answering your question but is this front or rear fogs? as front aren't mot-able afaik.

rears , decided to run a separate earth to the engine , tested before hand and now only 0.6 of a volt  |

;D u need a multimeter.........conect 1 probe to a good earthing point on body select continuity or ohms on multimeter connect other probe to earth on bulb holder should read 0000 on meter indicating NO earthing fault then test across contacts on bulb holder if it reads 12 v but bulb inop (ghost voltage) indicates a bad positive (live connection ) check voltage at fuse iff fitted then continuity through switch (back on ohms not voltage ) should have 0000 on meter between switch live )from fuse and live out to lights if no fault found on fuse or switch check connectors to back of car

continuity from the earth to block was 0 or as near as damn it with a little wiggling of probes and was 12v over contacts in both bulb holders , gonna play at the fuse end now , cant feel my fingers though... may find solace in beer

it lives! , removed and reseated relay and rotated fuse about a bit , bright shiny fogs ;D
