Sorry for the seemingly modern content, however i'm thinking of running a set of BMW mini steelies on my passat b3, as they are 4 x 100 and can be had a LOT cheaper than the VW alternative (G60 winters).
Only thing is i thought that they were 6" wide, but have read elsewhere that they are 5.5" wide? Can anyone confirm which they are? Or are there 2 types?
Thanks, Joe

I have a set of corsa steels, 6x15 et 39 4x100 pcd centrebore is 56.5 so quick lick with a file will get them to the 57mm you need (if my googlefu is working today) They are for sale too, depends on where you are as to how much they be. Underneath the dust they are covered in they are like new, tyres were pretty much unused which is why I bought them!

mini ones are 5.5". biggest issue with them is the 5456mm centrebore, 3mm is quite a lot to take out, can be done with the right tools though. ive got a set waiting to be banded for my b3 here.....
edit, CB is 56 not 54, was getting em confused with some others ive got to bore out. 1/2mm all round is achieveable with a good carbide burr if youre careful.

I was soo close to buying that set at the jumble, by the end of the day they were being offered to me for a fiver! Alas, the presence of SWMBO and a lack of space put an end to that idea!
edit: Are those the ones you got then Dez? Hope you didn't pay more than a fiver!

Corsa D and some late C models too. They are like new think they were taken off when car was new to be replaced by alloys as no brake dust etc on them, they clean up well as is, but would probably benefit from a quick coat of paint. £25 and £15 delivery and they are yours.

That's a generous offer and one i will consider for sure, thanks. Fingers crossed i can actually start working on the car over the weekend, so i will weigh up whether i can get through an MOT with the standard steelies to keep the initial cost down. But i will certainly bear the 15's in mind as the 14's look pretty lost in the arches. Joe

The Mini steelies are def only 5.5" wide.
The ones at the jumble were mine and are still for sale when I can be bothered to do a F/S thread. I was selling them for a fiver just so I wouldn't have to take them home again ;-)
TBH I was hoping they and a lot of other stuff would be sold to make some more room, but hey ho!
