I spoke about this a few months ago, and lots of people requested some pics...so here they are. The Story: My father-in-law bought an accident damaged Lomax based 3 wheel kit car about 8 years ago. He did the necessary work (mainly body work) to get it back on the road, but decided about 4 years ago to re-build the whole car. This decission was manily based on the naff handling it produced, and the lack of triangulation in the chassis. It now benefits from a complete new chasis custom made by him, Mini rear suspension at the front and Subaru legacy suspension at the back. Most of the fiddly suspension bits he's made himself on his 6 tonne lathe from ally. He's also fitted a bored out 751cc Dolly engine which produces around 65bhp...that and a car that weights about 350kgs make a very interesting drive... Oh, it's also got my old seats I had in my Mini...I'll just let the pics tell the story. The SV650 in the background is my brother-in-laws new toy

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

I may be wrong but I believe that is called a Falcon not a Lomax?
Looks very nicely built! Nice one.

It did start off as a Lomax, but he sourced most (if not all) the body work from an abandend Falcon project

It still has the 2CV gear change, which takes a while to get used to but is handy as the change is at the right height in the dash. The handling now is much sharder...and it's easy to get the back end out when there's a lot of debris in the middle of the road It's the exhaust sound that gets people turning their heads - two straight through pipes with baffle-less boxes The SV engine wouldn't really be that good in it tbh...but the Yamaha 650cc that's sat in his garage will be - he's promised to start on this when he's finished his 2CV powered trike

To be honest I think it’s bloody awful! However, I am glad it exists, and theres no doubting it looks nicely built.

if it were mine it would have a WW2 fighter plane paint scheme, with nose art etc, that would send it thru the cool roof
