That's an amazing price for that new section. My E24 is also E12 based and it would be great to know if parts are available too . May I ask if you are ordering through your workplace and if so would you be able to find out if E24 rear arch repair sections and E28 sills are are still available Cheers

If its not available it will say "Ended" where a Dollar price is shown. Get the part number then simply phone your local BMW dealer. They will give you a definite yes or no on availability. Hope that helps.

Terrific work Ian. Thanks Mark! Not had a chance to do much on the e12 over the Xmas period but I spent a few hours today welding in new metal. Still loads to do esp near the headlights. Covered in primer but for now it looks like this... New metal with small section cut out for wing fixing... Just need to weld the new piece in next week...

Spent most of this weekend on the front section. New piece welded in and first coat of paint... IMAG0696 by iewen, on Flickr Ended up cutting off more of the new piece before welding it on. Front panel near the headlights now has new metal. Also ordered some engine bay stickers to make it look original. Just need to prep and paint the engine bay side. Then bolt the car back together!

How strange , Explorer won't allow me access to this site on either of my PC's due to possibility of cross site scripting ...... Never seen that before .

More progress! It's starting to look like a car again!!! Plenty of stone guard and waxoil... Treated the wing... Seam sealed and painted... Wing now on... Stickers for the engine bay... Feeling much better about the progress now that its going back together and will fit the stickers to the engine bay soon. Just need to refit headlights, trims and wiring then start on the engine! I bought a new camshaft at the weekend so thats ready to go in once the valves are lapped in,etc!

Looking great! Wish I had as much space round the car to work on, not easy to do anything with the car in a normal garage

What cam did you opt for Ian? Something a little lumpier? No just a standard cam! All the lumpy cams are too much money really and I've got the M3 for speed!!! ;D

Lovely lovely lovely! - I do like the E12/E28 and yours is a peach of a thing. ;D
Are the underbonnet stickers as good as they look? - I wish I knew of a place which makes high quality Jag underbonnet stickers. Almost all of mine are pretty good, but ones not perfect.
