Hey guys,
Does anyone know if the dizzy from a 1.3 Mk1 Fiesta will fit/work OK on a 1.1 Mk1? The one on the Area 52 project car is goosed and I've been offered one from a 1.3 if it'll fit but I don't want to say yes if it turns out to be incompatible.

it fits but the 1.3 mk1 fez is a xflow, so will most likely have the leccy ignition with the silver module on the inner wing that goes with it,.

They are definitely intercompatible. The advance curve may be a bit different but I can't imagine it'd be enough to cause issue. People often use the 1100 electronic dizzy from a Mk2 on 1300s and 1600s as well. There are two sorts. Bosch and Motorcraft. They are also interchangable  |

But for future reference, the 1.3 and 1.6 mk1 Fiesta motors are Kent Crossflows and the 950 and 1.1 are Valenica Crossflows. Many parts are not interchangable. |

There are two sorts. Bosch and Motorcraft. They are also interchangable Indeed. In addition I think it is safe to say that Bosch make good distributors, but Motorcraft do not. In point of fact, I would avoid anything that isn't a Bosch - especially since you can still get good brand points and condensors for the Bosch ones. |
