Hey guys,
Does anyone know if the dizzy from a 1.3 Mk1 Fiesta will fit/work OK on a 1.1 Mk1? The one on the Area 52 project car is goosed and I've been offered one from a 1.3 if it'll fit but I don't want to say yes if it turns out to be incompatible.
Many thanks,
Bruce.

it fits but the 1.3 mk1 fez is a xflow, so will most likely have the leccy ignition with the silver module on the inner wing that goes with it,.

They are definitely intercompatible. The advance curve may be a bit different but I can't imagine it'd be enough to cause issue. People often use the 1100 electronic dizzy from a Mk2 on 1300s and 1600s as well. There are two sorts. Bosch and Motorcraft. They are also interchangable

But for future reference, the 1.3 and 1.6 mk1 Fiesta motors are Kent Crossflows and the 950 and 1.1 are Valenica Crossflows. Many parts are not interchangable.

There are two sorts. Bosch and Motorcraft. They are also interchangable Indeed. In addition I think it is safe to say that Bosch make good distributors, but Motorcraft do not. In point of fact, I would avoid anything that isn't a Bosch - especially since you can still get good brand points and condensors for the Bosch ones.
