Model: Ford Mondeo Estate 1.8 Turbo Diesel
Year:1996
Mileage: 145,000 bit less but can't remember off the top of my head.
Tax: None
MOT: Dec 2012
Pics:
I can get more photo's if required.
Location: Wittering in Cambridgeshire
Price: SOLD!
As above, the car went through the MOT on the 29th December and had an advisory on 1 tyre and the front passenger side ball joint, this has now been changed so just the tyre but should be good for a while yet.
The car is in good condition for the year with a small amount of rust on the rear wheel arches and the obligatory cracked bumpers (I'm sure they came out of ford like this) The mot tester commented on how good the reflectors were in the headlights as these were the first things to go on the MK1's.
The interior is clean and tidy and doesn't look like it has covered 141K+ miles, since I have had the car I have replaced the diesel filter as the car was starting to judder under acceleration, but this cured it, I have also replaced the front dics and pads so these are now good for another 40,000 miles , and also the aforementioned wishbone.
The car is in white and cleans up really well, I will try and give it a wash before it sells if the rain allows. It is also fitted with a good set of Mondeo Si 16" wheels which look similar to the Cosworth alloys that were fitted to the Escort.
This car is a great mile muncher and very comfortable, it will return 50mph probably more if driven at 60mph, being an estate it will carry loads of stuff so a great parts hauler as well, the boot carpet is a bit grubby but this is expected from a car of this age.
A couple of small things, the boot will only undo from the lever by the drivers seat, never a problem really, and the passenger lock is the only one that will unlock the car, but both drivers and passengers will lock it.
It has a tow bar fitted but can remove if it isn't wanted, not a problem.
Cheers,
Stu.
