Evening all  Hopefully in a few weeks time, I will be getting a Merc 300E from my dad's friend dirt cheap (as long as no one tells him how much he could really get for it, touch wood  ). I've seen loads of 190's modded, but I cant recall any 300's. Anybody got any pics & info??? ;D |

Are we talking W124 (mid 80s to mid 90s) here? Subtle is the way to go with them. Even the firebreathing AMG version kept quiet about the power. Tiny clues to give it away to the expert (anorak?!)

 Maybe... Hehe ;D It is a bargain! I would be daft not to have it. Compleatly original, one owner, 50k miles, every bit of service info, recepts, etc. 6 Months mot but no tax. and insurance is £400 fully comp ;D £100 |

i say do it, cant beat a good merc. not a 300e, but still pretty much the same, my e220. in completely unmodded form, but i do plan on changing the wheels.  |

I can actually see suspension parts there dave, you do know thats illegal don't you? ;D front end is high cos the pic was taken after it had just been up on the jack, following the penta trial fitment failure.  besides the height of the w123 more than makes up for the height of this one. ;D |

Merc Sportline kit makes a big difference..lowered uprated springs,uprated Bilstein dampers,modified anti-roll bars front and rear,quicker ratio steering box,sportline seats with side bolsters to stop you falling out your armchair during rapid cornering!
You want the 300-24 valve motor if you can get it.

Oh - I really love these... Saw a beauty the other day, a 300e TD wagon in gold - with a well-to-do sensible looking family in it. Would love to find one similar to apply 'VIP' style to Get some pictures up here as soon as you pick it up I'm off to hunt Google for E class merc pics.... |
