Hi Gang!
Only recently got this and as much as I love it I need something a bit more practical, might even have to go down the van route.
Its a 3.0 12v V6 "Lusso" converted by The Lombarda Carriage Company from new into the SuperSprint. This basically means nice exhaust, lowered and uprated suspension, Zender bodykit etc.
the book value is over 2k but as its got a couple of little flaws i'm being reasonable with the price.
159k on the clock
It did have a wood veneer kit but it looked awful so I took it out, this has left a bit of residue on the ashtray and center console. nothing some solvents and elbow grease won't fix.
rear demister is disconnected as it needs a new relay.
strange battery drain that i haven't had time to investigate, i just pull the negative terminal off when i go to bed.
other than that and a few scrapes on the body (its 20 years old) this is a truly epic machine. when picking it up I drove it the 60 odd miles home down the M20 and clocked 130 before I even noticed an increase in wind noise! people who know there alfas or indeed there retro cars know that these are the best car alfa ever made. my local garage said when doing the mot on friday that it was the tightest and best preserved 20 year old car he's ever seen, in fact he said its better than a lot of 5 year old cars. that is probably to do with the thousands of pounds worth of history with the car and the 20 gallons of waxoil injected into every nook and cranie of the car.
so in summary an epic car with a full years ticket, no tax but can be taxed at your expense. my insurance is 197 a year and i'm a 28 year old with no ncb!
pic of when I bought it, more to follow
update : cracked the sump while negotiating a speed bump a bit too fast, not a terrible crack by any stretch and i've been qouted £200 for the repair.
i need to get a car as i'm off to france shortly so its up for £300
