Hi All
I'm Hussain from Nottingham, but living in Leeds for the past few years as a student at the University here. I don't want to bore you all about my wonderful life and what I do, so Ill get to the most important topic, Corolla GT AE82 1987
After many years looking for the right AE82 Corolla GT, travelling up and down the country and viewing some right run down Corollas. On November 2010, I came across my Corolla GT, luck being on my side; it was a few miles (5) from my door step in Nottingham, popped straight around to his. After a good inspection I knew I had found myself a half decent Corolla GT with stacks of History going all the way back to the very first service and Mot.
The car had been parked up since 2004, and not been touched. After putting in new fuel and charging the battery, it fired up and I knew from the second hearing the engine, this is it, this is the one for me. Didnt waste anytime, I handed over the money and got the car tailored back to my garage.
As you can see from the pictures below, the front wings are not in the best of conditions, but luckily the owner had purchased Brand new wings from Toyota, and they were still in their original Toyota boxes. From November 2010 till late 2011 the car sat at my mechanics dry stored.
The car needed a bit of attention underneath the car, Rust, brake pipes, drop links, hand brake cables. Having these faults repaired the car passed its MOT, and now is awaiting for a full new re-spray.
Being a final year at university, Ive slowed down with the progress with the Corolla GT, but will keep you all updated as the Project continues. ;D
Future plans:
Full Re-spray to original White
Alloys refurbished
New Decals and bumper strips to original colour
Major service
