Hi all,
Just joined and thought I would share some pics of my 85 Celica Supra which I have stripped and rebuilt over the last couple of years. Close to getting her finished now, so excuse the matt black paint cos it ain't permanent ;D
This is what she looked like when I got her. Bought from a guy for £300 who had kept her in a garage for 14 years. On the surface everything looked ok but all the suspension bushes were shot, thankfully only 1 patch of rust though...........result.

Hate the burgundy colour so decided on a colour change. Stripped everything from underneath ie engine, box, suspension, rear end etc and set about cleaning and painting.
Engine bay before

and after

Stripped the engine, had the head overhauled, rebuilt, repainted and refitted the engine

All the suspension has be cleaned and painted up with new poly bushes fitted. All the discs, pads and handbrake shoes done, new clutch, the list is endless![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)
Got the car MOT'd last August and have been doing more bits and pieces over the winter months when it ain't too cold, all the work is being done on the drive and I'm buggered if I'm freezing my nuts off![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)
Other things done were, brand new genuine Toyota tailgate, refurbished sunroof (when it gets here, coming all the way British Columbia, Canada on snail mail), US type rear sunshade and a nice set of 16" XXR 002's

I'm blending in the wheel arch extensions as well, seen 1 on Celicasupra.com and really like the way it looks.
So this is how she looks at the moment, will be glad when I change the colour, just do not like her in matt black![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Tried to be as brief as possible, all I can say that I've loved every second of doing it even considering all the scraped knuckles and lumps on my head.
