Recently moved up from Plymouth but I don't have a garage anymore. Want to get my car up here and carry on the resto. Anyone know of any units or barns available near the area. I've already checked the agents but nothing suitable and within price.
Would be interested in either sharing or renting as I also have a few colleagues that want to share. Must at least have power.

TWR, where abouts in Banbury have you moved to?..
do you know where the old Alcan works are? on the southam rd, theres pretty good cheap units along there, on the left if traveling from the town centre...
they seem to pop up for rent all the time, rates and electric included last time we looked at renting one (big enough for about 8 cars with room to work around them £250 pm!)

I'm live next to Thorpe Park industrial estate. I've only been in Banbury a few months so don't know about the Alcan works. Do know where Southam rd is though. Are the unit's you're on about past the Beaumont Industrial Estate?

yes mate they certainly are, basically through the lights (past the bottom of Beaumont Industrial Estate) then next left 100m or so before the roundabout..
I'm trying to find the agents number, but if I can't, all we did was went and ask other tenants...

there is a guy on clubpolo looking for a unit who is also from banbury, might be worth contacting him (unless your the same dude?!) www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=273874personally i'd try the local villages around banbury and try you luck with some local farmers, as they might rent out empty barn space for cheap |

A mate of mine has a lot of space near Chipping warden to the north of Banbury. two big barns. Dry, and not overlooked from the road, so no 'passer by' security problems.
Power supply is there but isn't perfect - electricity and a compressor in an outhouse just outside the door. Quality of supply is OK though if it'll run a compressor - Run an extension lead inside for light and tool power. There are some 'site lights' inside too.
Drop me a PM if you want his number to talk about renting a corner, or to store your project till you find somewhere.
He's an XJS owner too - '77 manual that needs some work.
