Bay Area Rods, based id Poole, Dorset seems to have been wiped off the map. I can't find hide nor hair of them. Does anyone know what that's all about? It's a shame because they used to produce a kit for beetle based 30s Ford look-a-like hot rods -   And I really want to build one. Really really really really. Or does anyone have any info on this or similar volks based rods or kits for building these?? |

Wow, didn't know about all that. I've known Gary for years through the scene and had noticed he'd dropped off the horizon. I bought some stuff off him around that sort of time so maybe he was shedding his load?

Ive brought loads of stuff off Gary for many years and he has always supplied what was agreed/brought , he even sent the stuff before i had paid/put a cheque in the post , i think his business just got too big and so started letting people down with deliveries .........hes a real nice bloke Scammed a load of people, ran away. |

Yep, my mate Russ and I bought some of Bay Area Rods (Gary's) moulds about a year ago as he was starting a new venture. The moulds include the ones that Gary was using to produce the Jalopee - the VW based 32 Ford roadster pick up shown in the pics above. We are able to produce the pick up body (tub), pick up bed sides, tailgate, grille shell, bonnet top and sides as well as various other items including cycle fenders, firewall (bulkhead), dashboards, E&J headlamp shells and a closed cab pick up body.
