I watched this at 10:00pm last night on the Discovery Channel. It was a good program to watch and was quite an eye opener in how things are done in Bangalore. The Bernie chap can swear a bit, but so would I in his shoes, I think. Did Leepu (the car designer) really put 6" wheel extentions on, all around the car ? Anybody else watch it ?

Maverick Bangladeshi car designer Leepu Nizamuddin Awila is the developing world’s answer to Enzo Ferrari. He takes old heaps and turns them into the ultimate supercar with nothing but sheet metal, hammers and a Bangladeshi wind tunnel! No good at fixing the actual mechanics of a vehicle, Leepu can only create a car that looks the business. So he has invited no-nonsense cockney car mechanic Bernie Fineman to his backstreet workshop to make something that also drives like a supercar. Together, they plan to turn a clapped out 30 year old Toyota Sprinter into a vehicle worthy of opening the Bangladeshi International Car Show, in just one month!
Bernie throws himself into the challenge, testing an engine on a crowded Dhaka pavement before delivering it back to Leepu by rickshaw, while Leepu’s chaotic design process sets fire to a half-built car and nearly blows up the street. Inevitably, designer and mechanic soon clash when Leepu’s insistence on a low slung look plays havoc with Bernie’s suspension during a test drive. After the fireworks the duo resolve to work together to finish the car. But will they make it to the show on time?
