For sale; a set of alloys that I've never ever seen before. If I was a gambling man I'd put money on them being the only set in the UK. (I'm not, however, so don't go reaching for your betting slips just yet!)
7x15" in 4x100 fitment. ET35 (at a guess, will have to double check)
They come with tyres: 2x 205/50/15 and 2x 195/50/15.
If my memory serves me correctly the 205's are on the tread wear indicators but the 195's have plenty of tread (like LOTS of tread) - as with the offest, I will double check when I'm next at the unit.
They are in very good condition with only the most minimal amount of scuffing on the very outer edges of two of the wheels. No dents, buckles, cracks or chunks missing. The other two are excellent.
Alloy centre caps too with allen key counter sunk bolts which hold them securely in place.
Here they are as fitted to the MX5 I sold. These shots were taken the day I picked the car up and they were truly filthy.
Just to check how the wheels would look, I gave one of them a quick rub over with some Autosol. I didn't even attempt to clean the wheel and literally spent about 2 or 3 minutes, no more, giving them a gentle rub to remove the dirt, brake dust and dullness. If this is how it looks after a few minutes with no effort, imagine what they would look like if you spent an afternoon (no more) giving them a decent polish!!
(apologies for the poor phone pics)
Last weekend we tried them on Daves Chevette. They've had no more effort or polishing since the photos above, but go to show how just a mega quick rub over can make them look so much nicer. Like I say, with an afternoon, they would look simply awesome!
Most of the guys at the unit wished they had A) the money to buy them or B) a car to put them on. In the flesh they look really, really good and very unique.
Personally I'd paint the spokes a mid-graphite colour and polish the living daylights out of the rims, but the general consensus was that they'd look just ace properly polished up.
So there you go, the chance to have a set of unique looking wheels. I can get more photos after the weekend if you'd like? I'll check the offset and tyres in the meantime.
I'm leaving these solely on here for a week before posting them on Wheel Whores and Edition 38 where they will probably sell very quickly.
£275 - which for something this cool and rare is pretty good. Rock up at a VW show with these on a MK1 or Mk2 Golf and you'll certainly get some heads turning.
I can take them to the Autojumble on Sunday if someone wants, or could see about Pony Expressing them around the country...or collection from Bristol obviously
Thanks for looking.
