I've seen somewhere (or at least I think I have ) some reusable rivet things for holding body panels together for welding. I've searched but can't seem to find them. Not the clamp things that Frost sell, but a kind of alternative. Anyone shed some light please???

also Avdels. as used in the aircraft industry. they usually have a plastic coloured sleeve to identify the size so you can't weld near them but you can trial fit panels. i bought a huge box of them for £50 which was really cheap as some of the bigger ones cost ££'s each. i sold half of them to my boss for £50 which was still cheap but it meant mine were free. iv'e got more than i could ever use. just put "aircraft" as an ebay search under vehicle parts and you should find what you need

I too know them a Clecos Mine are no original Clecos, but made of copper - so not weldable ;D The set I bought also had some clamp heads in it - very handy!

I got loads from an airshow. Far cheaper than car sources. There are two types. One, with coloured plastic knobs, can be tightedn by hand but the others need a proper tool or modified pliers (virtually impossible to do any other way and proper tool reasonable price - again from aviation parts suppliers)
