Hi,
The dashboard on my Citroën DS is originally finished in off-white wrinkle paint. It's starting to show its age by now... VHT and some other manufacturers offer black and red rattle can wrinkle paint but the colour choice pretty much stops there. I've been told that the "old fashioned" way of manufacturing wrinkle paint can't be done anymore due to abolition of certain chemicals.
I have also tried painting enamel over regular spray can paint and vice versa, because some claim it will wrinkle. No luck so far experimenting with different drying times between layers.
I haven't tried painting white over the black wrinkle finish, seems to me that the surface will go flat before white covers everything. Any ideas?
