About the only cars that were made with that engine in the UK were the Rover 75 V8's...and they didn't make very many of them. Importing an engine from the states would cost you £400 just for the shipping as well. Secondly....it's a V8. Rover V8's are getting expensive to buy even a curse word one, so it's no wonder why others like the Ford Modular, and the Toyota UZ's are getting expensive. Supply is drying up.

I bet there's more 4.6 mustangs in the uk than mg 260's. Not to mention CROWN vic's ect.
There's one on RnS at the mo, low milage and that was cheap.
Thing is, I'm not sure what I'd want to fit one too?? Apart from replacing like for like. It's not the best looking engine, a lot of plastic and the electronics put me off tbh.

I seem to remember that they're awfully wide compared to other US V8's.

They are. I know a lad bought one to fit in a Capri and it would have meant converting to double wishbone front end as it fowled the struts.
He sold it and bought a 302.
Which I hate to say is the engine I told him to buy in the first place.
Some people seem very keen on using these though, and usually they are like £1500 for the engine on its own...
The yanks have started stuffing them into early Mustangs and the like.
