You'd be best ringing a few specialists. I'm 21 with 4 years ncb and I'm insured on my late mk1 1.8 mx5 for 850 with Adrian Flux. Best quote I got online was 1200.
Check if there is a difference for eunos against mx5, the eunos was much more expensive for me.
You might even be able to get classic insurance, which could be much cheaper.

Subtle mods, but I so love XXR513's. Part of me thinks MX-5's are becoming too popular to be cool, if you know what I mean, but seeing a nicely done one still brings a smile to my face. All the pics are of NA's. How long will it be until NB's are retro? How long do I need to keep our NC 2.0i Sport Roadster Coupe until it becomes retro?

Just buy the mx5 you want. get everyone in your family to move to multicar (thats what I did), my standalone premium on the mx5 was 1256. multicar got it down to £739, best thing about multicar is that all the policies get discounted the more cars thats are added that meant I got my 2010 clio sport down to £500.86 fully comp 12,000 miles (3 years NCB, transferred them over from previous car)
well worth just getting a quote

Unfortunatly muti cars no good for me as my Dad and brother both have their own trade policys which i cant see either of them messing with considering how annoyingly little they pay lol Atm my 1.4 Volvo 340 is around £1400-£1500, with 1 ncb. generally go compare quote a couple hundred more than i get with my insurer, and go compare rekoned over £3000. I think waiting would be good anyway so i can get one nice ready for the road

Aye being young isnt good when it comes to insurance, I live in the middle of nowhere and after that first really bad winter we had (3 xmas's ago), I made the (big) mistake of trading in my trusty 1.2 Renault Clio. for a 95' Discovery 3.9L v8. Bad move, being 18 and driving one of them made my premium £2749 per year, that lasted 6 months until my parents threw in the towel and made me get that aforementioned clio sport, even with the monthly finance payments on that AND my insurance on it, I still wasn't paying as much as I did Insurance on that Discovery .
up to today Ive always been with elephant as theyve always been the cheapest for me, give them a try for your volvo as they may save you some cash

Nice car, but always looks a little bit 'soft'. Remember that mad dash for that one that went for about 300 quid on here last year?

I insured mine with Brentacre when I'd just turned 21, with 1 years no claims and 1 fault accident 3 years before for about £1200, with all the mods declared (in fact unlimited mods under 120bhp), that's 12000 miles a year, parked on the street at night, public car park in the day and as my only car. One big thing people need to mention when saying how much they pay is that if it's a 2nd car with low annul mileage it's going to be quite a bit cheaper than as an only car. Anyway, my old one:

Insurance wise I like what I'm hearing It's the same one, it's a pitcrew front end conversion. I can't find any more of it pre-conversion though farm7.static.flickr.com/6149/5996443732_b2e0d9c2ec.jpg[/img]
