I suspect the relay for my igniation has died. I parked the car up, went in. Came out to put it in the garage, and I have no battery, oil pressure, handbrake or ign lights. Radio works. Wipers, horn and side lights work.
The starter motor turns over the engine quite happily. Also there is no loud "click" as you would expect when you turn the key to the point you would expect ign lights to come on.
There are 3 relays in the fuse box under the bonnet, I just don't know which one is for the ignition.
Mine are from left to right, grey, red, black. IT's a MK3 Escort with a CVH.
