Hello guys
WARNING: photo heavy thread!
Its been a while but we're back with some pics from an amazing museum/showroom/workshop called Classic Remise in Berlin. Miss Ragtop and I went for a long weekend in the city a few weeks ago. She'd found their website online before we went so we braved a wet cold grey Berlin day and went a searchin'..... Here's only some of what we found!! I was in Heaven!! Ha ha
www.remise.de/Classic-Remise-Meilenwerk-Berlin-english-summary.php
We had been searching for a while and were beginning to get wet and cold but then stumbled across these beautifully clean, original examples of some classic french tin and knew we must be in the right area!
Cute Mk 1 Renault 5
Early 403 maybe?
And to top it off (If you'll pardon the pun)... this! Now when was the last time you saw one of these?! lol
We then found the old tram shed that housed the workshops etc and dived inside out of the rain... What an Aladdin's cave
Pristine Cobra
What can you say...?! lol
This full scale model Stratos update was insane!
Lovely Cheesy Citroen van he he
From one beautiful Maserati...
...To another beautiful Citroen!
Found this gorgeous lil Renault 4 in one of the workshops...
Love the 2 piece steelies!
Stately Early merc cabriolet
These can seen hurtling around the screen as police cars in the original Italian Job iirc... Alfa 1800 0r 2000 maybe?
Beautiful example of the car that started the fwd revolution, the Citroen Traction Avant...
sparkling Peugeot 104
Lancia did make some very pretty cars didn't they?
There were the occasional big beasts in amongst the european metal, like this moody Barracuda... me likey!
And this stunning blue mustang...
And then there was this truly unique mustang estate! The only one in existence...
get to tesco's and back in style...
And outside was this...
... With its evil hot rod brother! he he
Nice twist on a stretch limo...
And a big ole Cadillac tank to finish the US section he he
Now this is one of the earliest Maybachs known about... Talk about regal!!
anyone for a Jaw dropping Merc including ragtop (my favourite!) lol ... look at the shine!
Shark grey, shark faced BMW!
Not seen one of these Opels before, but I like...
Now what's this then?...
Oh of course, its some sort of amii fastback on hydraulic suspension I do believe...
The history on the windscreen said that the handful of prototypes that were trialled were so successful that the testers didn't want to give them back... who knows why they didn't produce it? very cute
That's it for part one but here's a hint of part 2... he he
Thankyou for stopping by and reading this. All feedback welcome
and I hope you enjoyed it. Part 2 coming soon, keep 'em peeled!
