Respect, grifterkid, for being enough of a man to admit your faux pas. And you've been most positive in pointing out the good side of BL, which I hadn't appreciated until now.

I think bl were pretty damn good, They kept up with the game... Shame the workers didnt...

As you can see some of the BL workers were frustrated at not being able to work. They wanted to make cars, not strike (although I imagine some did want to strike of course, 2 sides to the coin and all that)...!!!
It seems the folks that did want to drag their heels ended up dragging everybody along with them for the ride thus causing a whole heap of steaming dung to hit the biggest industrial fan ever...!!!
With a bit more careful, considered management it could have been sooooooooooooo very different...!!!

Wow! What a fantastic photograph, it is worthy of screen saver status! I wonder what the story behind it is. *** Sadly I must say this. RetroRides is actively and efficiently moderated. Consequently, anything deemed offensive or ‘not in the spirit of the site’s ethos’ such as the thread referred to here (though only the most sensitive would be offended by this particular transgression, I agree it is probably ‘not in the spirit’) are always swiftly removed and not left to linger as they do on some other forums. This is how it should be; the moderation on RetroRides works. Unfortunately, and I am most reluctant to say this, there does seem to be a small group of members who seem to have appointed themselves as judge and jury to police these pages. This particular thread was not a particularly good (bad??) example, but sometimes the reaction from some quarters is so overwhelming that it becomes almost tantamount to a baying pack, crosses the line into bullying and becomes more offensive than the original transgression. I have seen some threads which contain breathtaking reactions and are swiftly locked, though in fairness, this was not one of them. Please please leave it to the Mods. The moderation is genuinely effective on this site. If you see something which offends you just report it to them, they will do the rest. David

Whateverr the OP has done, its ok with me, this thread is brilliant. Love the videos too. They went for US buyers with the TR7, based on the success of the TR6, but the cars were not even close in any way. One of mine from the past. img822.imageshack.us/img822/7162/mycars002.jpg [/img]

I would love an Allegro estate. They are a brilliant shape and I think would make an emminently sensible daily. I wouldn't rub myself against one though

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.
