After the giddy excitement of Knebworth, I stumbled across another car show down in Romsey, Southampton. Slightly different crowd, but some interesting selection of motors. Austin Devon? Looks neat with the wheels though. Amazon, the restoration on this car was superb. This Skoda S110R was a one of my favourites. Bonkers Amazon! Not sure about this BMC 1100/1300 thing! Type 1 kit? One of the more obvious classic cars, but beautiful nonetheless Dodge Coronet evil knievel Ford Pop! VW Scirocco Storm! Yes. A Storm! Leather interior too. A rear engined Renault 10. Stunning Studebaker Used to be one of these round every council estate - a Ford Zephyr...... ...and its bigger brother the Zodiac. I love those deep rims.

The Devon is a Dorset I suspect, I'm pretty sure Devons are the two doors. That S110R must be a South Coast Skoda car - it'll probably be scrapped when the tax runs out. 'Stumbled across'? Southampton is over 200miles from your house isn't it? Just how many shows do you go to? If you were down on the South coast you could have picked these up: cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7918688223 They'd be super handy on the Datsun (4.5pcd) for that subtle 'are those standard?' double-take 5.5J stylie.

I'd be surprised if it was scrapped, it seemed to be remarkably straight, without filler or any surface rust. True it won't be worth much, but it certainly deserves to survive.

I'm currently living 15 miles of south of Oxford, so thats not even 60 miles down the A34 to S'ton. Her indoors lives down there. She chose to admired the Jags and concours, I went straight to the unsung....
I like those wheels, they'd look good in white. Almost weller'esque.

No it won't be scrapped. Trust me I thought I recognized at least one of those cars. Norwich Classic Vehicle Club www.ncvc.org.uk/vehicles.htmAnother nice selection

"That S110R must be a South Coast Skoda car - it'll probably be scrapped when the tax runs out."
just one thing, South Coast Skoda do not scrap Skodas when the tax runs out. Take a look at there site and you'll see. S110r's are incredibily rare and any that are around are saved unless they are completly past it.
Rant over, long live Skodas, and any other old cars!

Having seen that silver Skoda Coupe at Castle Combe the other week I too would be surprised if it were scrapped!
There are plenty of other cars I'd rather see scrapped than that - usually they have MG badges!

I'm sure that could be taken as deformation of charactor.
Both myself and Other halfs S110Rs are currently being restored mine just being prepped for finnishing spray job. other halfs has now been welded and can now be re-assembled. The Silver S110R is owned by dave pickett and there is no way he would scrap that car. Keith Jones is the person that you need to be moaning about not south coast skoda. next your be calling me Jay ivey! we currently have 5 S110Rs owned by SCS members and all are garaged and looked after.

Got to agree with the general consensus and say that is one nice Skoda.
don't suppose anyone's got anymore pictures of it, preferably showing the wheels a bit more?

Did no-one spot the ?. Those smileys have a purpose you know chaps...calm down. To those that did nearly get the joke, it was a reference to Keith Jones...I'm sorry SCS (the person, and the club) there was no offence intended, the comment was directed to the club as I knew you'd know who I was talking about. It is quite clearly a beautiful car which in no way deserves scrapping...hence the smiley on the thread. For those not so clued up in the world of S110Rs take a look at this car: This car has now been scrapped. >>>>>> <<<<<< That's a sad smiley by the way.

They are wheel trims and are curse word! without showing you a picture imagine a 4" wide steel 14" wheel with a 1.5" deep hub cap sticking out. designed to look like a fuch alloy! not nice at all! mine the missuses Graham boarers Dave picketts
