2002 02 Seat Arosa 1.4 TDi S. It has done 132k miles and has MOT til 1st June 2011.
I realise that this does not strictly fit in with the rules of this forum, but to me this couldn't be more 'budget motoring' if it tried, and I'm seriously looking for a part exchange for something pre '95, preferably a big german saloon car. Hopefully the mods will exercise some discretion and see this as a genuine long term forum member rather than some Terry Tibbs style scammer.
We bought this for my wife to commute to her new job, but she's working from home now so it's surplus to requirements.
The 1.4 TDi does 50mpg round town and up to 80mpg on a run (that's better than a Prius) and at 75bhp propels this thing along surprisingly rapidly. It also only costs £30 a year to tax.
It has a single CD player, electric windows, remote central locking and power steering. These are seriously rare cars, we searched for a while and as far as I can see this is one of a handful of Arosa TDis for sale in the country. Don't confuse this with the older 1.7 SDis, which are nowhere near as good, dearer to run and tax, and dog slow!
The bad:
I have no history with the car, but I have no reason to believe it hasn't been well looked after. I have the details for the previous owner so I'll pass those on to the new owner.
With this in mind I've just had it fully serviced, fresh oil and fuel, oil and air filters so it's good to go.
There is a 2-3" crack in the screen. This isn't anything to worry about but I think it'll need addressing before the next MOT. You can usually get them replaced for free/cheap on the windscreen cover on your insurance and it doesn't effect your no claims.
The good:
The interior is in great condition, the pale interior has no nasty stains or smells like a lot of these cars end up with.
MOT until 1st June '12 and if I get a good offer on the asking price I'll put a year's tax on it for you.
These care are seriously underrated, they're basically a VW Lupo in a different outfit so from a mods perspective the same would work on this.
Sorry for the poor pics, I'm a bit short on storage:
We're looking to pay off a few Christmas debts so as such it's priced to sell at £1650, or with a p/x of a German saloon car (Ideally a 190e Mercedes) plus some cash my way.
Any questions drop me a PM or give me a ring on O7738 924183
Cheers
Tom
