BMW 318IS COUPE for quick sale, recent respray in gloss black, wasnt done to hide any damage just to tidy the car up in general. m3 alloys, front splitter, rear spoiler, tinted windows, new front pads and discs, new spark plugs and oil. also comes with a set of pressed german plates. badpoints: tax runs out end of december, no mot, petrol and temp gauge have stopped working. not prepared to put tax or mot on the car as my money is tied up in saving for a new car. would make a great project or easy car to put back on the road or brilliant source of spare parts. this is the 1.9 engine model (m44 engine) I'm looking for offers around the £400 but will listen to sensible offers     |

Do you think the clocks have stopped working? Checking insurance on this! My e36 coupe was only a 1.6 and wasn't so bad to insure.

jonnyg cheers for the interest. the clocks are a strange one because the speedo, tacho and all the lights work, its just the fuel gauge and water temp, one day they both decided to just stop working, so my guess is unless you know your wiring, id look at a new set of clocks. i found the insurance not to bad on this to be honest, the only reason I'm getting rid of the car is because i fancy something newer and that the car was a bargain buy when i got it anyway so its kinda ran its course for me, i cant justify spending more money on it when i don't want it no more. cheers

retrocav.... its a reasonably good paintjob, it could do with maybe more polishing work and t-cutting but its better than what it was. i don't know what kinda paint job you were expecting on a bargain basement car though |

not expecting much mate but some people have had cars painted which i have viewed before and it looks like a roller and pound shop paint has been used then left in a sand storm to dry so before i go any further with questions or consider getting any funds together i thought i would ask about paint first |

good point mate, well it doesnt look like a roller job thats for sure, just could do with a bit more time polishing and t -cutting but i didnt wanna bother over the winter.
