Model: VW Passat V6 syncro/4motion Estate
Mileage: 137000
Tax: 1 Month
MOT: 8 Months
Location: Stoke-On-Trent
Price: £1100 ono Now on ebay with £795 start price and NO reserve!!
Time to sell my Passat as I no longer need it.
It's 4 wheel drive so you'll be ready for the next cold snap/snow fall.
Very good, solid body. No corrosion or signs of accident damage. Nice tight even shut lines. All doors have a solid and reassuring thud. Very VW! Scratch on o/s rear door.
Interior is quite clean and tidy. Couple of minor bits of trim are damaged, but nothing significant. Carpets are dry and all electrics work.
2.8l V6 is creamy smooth. No smoke, knocks, rattles or anything untoward.
5-speed manual gearbox is smooth and precise. No whining, crunching, baulking or jumping out of gear. Actually, it's a lovely shift action.
Diffs are quiet, no groans or whining.
Nothing bad to report about the brakes, steering or suspension either. Being a 4wd model it has independent rear wishbone suspension so handles very well. Also means that if you decide to lower it, you don't get the wheels pushing forward into the arches like you do with 2wd Passats
Features;
193bhp V6 engine
4 wheel drive with Torsen diffs
Tow bar with twin electrics
Aftermarket CD player with iPod interface
Parrot bluetooth hands free kit
Full black leather
Heated front seats (sometimes a little slow to warm up)
Climatronic climate control and a/c
4x electric windows
No sunroof (no leaks to worry about)
2x 12v power points in boot.
V5 registration document here and in my name.
Service history (last stamp at 131,000 with an invoice for an expensive cam belt change including water pump) and a bunch of invoices.
HPI clear.
Bad points;
N/S rear electric window doesn't work. Can hear the motor trying so suspect a fault with the mechanism.
Has a slight fluid leak. It's dripping onto one of the downpipes resulting in a burning smell and a puff of smoke when coming to a standstill after a run.
Downpipes blowing at flexi joints so sounds like a tank atm. New downpipes are £80-odd each on ebay or just replace the flexis for a fraction of the price.
Overall, it's a nice, solid, daily driver with some practical features and a sporty drive, needing only a few minor bits doing to make it 100%. It has long MOT, extensive service history and tax to the end of Jan.
Cash only sale. NO swaps or part exchanges, sorry.
Please contact me through PM in the first instance.
