We've decided to sell my wife's car, she's learning to drive and doesn't like it compared to her instructor's nice new diesel polo! Its got plenty of TnT but its no show queen and I think the price reflects this. Anyway here's the good bits;
16v bumpers front and rear
16v rear lights
Clear front indicators
Debadged grille
Just fitted mk3 golf driver (same as GTI with different pattern) front seats, the originals are stained and very very uncomfortable!
Great big cone filter as big as my head
Big bore backbox, up to you if this is a good thing or not....
Straight through exhaust from cat to backbox
Lowered 40mm on supersport shocks and springs
Everything works as it should
Has a nice looking 3 spoke steering wheel, looks like a mk3 polo one to me but I might be wrong.
Wafts itself along quite well for a 1litre due to a shorter ratio gearbox
Has had a professional respray at some time in its life from dragon green to metallic black, you can only tell if you pull the door cards off or lift the carpet. Even the engine bay has been done!
Has had welding done underneath in the past, doesn't need anymore as it stands
Will come on the 5 spoke funny coloured wheels you see in the pics, the tyres are all excellent! I bought a few tins of gloss black paint for them, I haven't had chance to paint them, but you can have the paint if you want it.
Cheap as chips to run and insure, its only an L so its pretty basic, you get a rev counter and electric mirrors though!
Not so great bits;
Dented bonnet and drivers front wing, luckily bolt on parts that are cheap and easy to source.
No parcel shelf, never bothered us
Clutch release bearing whines a little bit
Heater blower only works on number 4. I've been using it for work and it hasn't bothered me, I'd rather that than nothing at all!
Needs a service, and a thermostat. It never goes above 70degrees, and I only use it for short journeys, and this has resulted in a fair bit of mayo under the oil cap. It DOES NOT lose any water. In fact its been like this in the 2k miles I've done in it so I know its not HG related.
Few bits where its been touched up but not laquered, so theres a few bits of flat paint.
Previous owner never sent the logbook off. We have applied for one
Anyways enough honesty! Heres a few pics, will take some more when I get some daylight! The enzo cups belong to my golf, and aren't for sale!
OK I know the pics are rubbish, but this is just whats on my photobucket at the mo.
