Lovely, never seen one before, however not to put too fine a point on it but, what makes you think Old Speckled Hen could power anything but an MG?

I found a decent cover for the hatch hinges at last. So now I have everything to fit my new headliner bought years ago  Am delighted because the car is very unfinished inside. I was trying to wait till I had everything I needed before starting. 130920133968 by quickrack, on Flickr Hope like hell it turns out nice.

The strut top is failing so I found one cheap with a broken off stud. Welded a bolt to the broken stud and the heat helped free it so it wound out handy enough. 020820133663 by quickrack, on Flickr

I have gathered the bits to put a 5 speed gearbox in over the Christmas. Prop and box by quickrack, on Flickr The alloy blocks are a neat idea. They allow you to use the original gearbox crossmember without drilling extra holes in the floor. Prop & box & cables by quickrack, on Flickr

Both my kits have 5 speeds, 1st is still way too low to serve any purpose other than crawling in traffic. I've a 3:89 diff in the legerra, not sure about the Sierra but I think its a 4:41 or a 4:44. With a 3:89, 5 speed and 195/60/15's it'll cruise at 70 without opening the second choke but theres a 3:54 with my name on it somewhere in Preston which will help it a bit. We quite often go on trips out and occasionally give em a bit of welly. The 5th gear really comes into it's own when you are on the motorway and the better side of three figures on the speedo is quite easy with a 5 speed.

I am using the 3.77:1 diff and am hoping to improve its useability. Then when I can I will fit the improved ratio gears you can get.
