I received this email earlier. I initially assumed someone had cloned my eBay listing as does happen for scammy purposes. However, that is not the scam here. What the scam here is that the sender of the emails wants your eBay ID and password. They've already got real live auction data from eBay and most of the images etc are pulled down from eBay. There are no pics in the email image there because I block automatic image download but they were there and visible and all correct on my iPhone where I first picked up the email. The only thing "wrong" is the respond button. I looked at this carefully and it seemed to be pointing to a fake eBay site in India. Sure as anything, I tried that URL in a secure browsing session and its a really good likeness of eBay's sign in page... Very sneaky. I bet they catch a lot of people out with that one... When ever you get communication from eBay, far safer to go on the website and go to the message centre in My eBay if you have any even slight doubts.

^ I've had that exact same email, from the same user and it did make me look twice. Very good likeness I deleted it and then got another identical one eighteen hours later. Replace the words Cadillac with Volkswagen and you've got the mail I received. Feeling mildly guilty I didn't mention it here now, having had twelve auctions that ended last week after a mass clear out this is the only which has attracted unwanted attention. So watch out if selling a car

I didn't know they made a VW Fleetwood Brougham V8 RWD... every day's a school day Seriously though, thanks for the heads up, I've been monstrously flaky with eBay lately and the last thing I need is to be caught out with a scam mail, this reminds me to be more dilligent.
