Simple little thread this, I shall explain.
In your local area there are going to be car meets, owners and cars that you enjoy. There's going to be some things that really stand out, that keep you coming back, that make the hobby and community awesome.
tl:dr - post info on awesome people, cars and events that are local to you. Add pictures and links to build threads for added win.
So post that here, then maybe do some voting here
I'll get the ball rolling. I have a few favourites, one of which belongs to rtlkyuubi of this parish and it's his excellent little satin blue Micra. I don't know what's become of it, last I heard it had been mothballed and threatened with breaking (can't find the build thread).
Another is the pristine Triumph 2000 of one of the Steves from the Motornutz club.
There's also this bright green Fiesta with a houndstooth roof which I think is excellent. I know nothing about it.
Since moving away from Sheffield I should really explore what's happening more locally to me, but with the car in bits and the weather being grim, I'm going to bide my time for a bit longer I think.
Even when my car is back on the road, I'll still consider the Retro Rides Meadowhall Meet to be my local. It usually has a great atmosphere and variety of cars and you can find out when it happens here.
