	Well did some work to it today out in the big bright sun and took some measurements off the current ones. Length at the outermost tips (bottom ends) is 63" (1600mm) Width is currently 8" (204mm) but can afford to lose an inch Height from lowest tip to peak is 11" (280mm) Going by that I think a few have been ruled out so I'm down to the following but not sure what one to go for (mainy as they are not all measued the same ! This one www.towingandtrailers.co.uk/cgi-bin/trolleyed_public.cgi?action=showprod_MG13T69&category=110 Gives me an extra 6" length and 7" height so kind of combats what I'm trying to achieve with the height issue This one www.albatowing.co.uk/trailer-parts/trailer-mudguards/plastic-mudguards/plastic-mudguards-tandem/plastic-abs-tandem-mudguard-16-8-x-69 Also give me the extra 6" length but no idea how much height they have other than they are for 16" wheels :S Finally these www.indespension.co.uk/Trailer-Parts/Plastic-Mudguards/MG014.html Give me my current length and width but no idea on height as they are measured differently

	Well they fit very nicely just struggling a bit with the final touches ! Gave up on the hinge idea - overcomplicated and no matter how I mounted them the inside edge of the tyre catches the inside edge of the mudguard and thats with no weight on the trailer so idea ditched ! Gone down the route of make the whole guard quick release instead. So then - off came the old guards Had some old alloy box section so cut some L shaped brackets out - they still need to be trimmed for neatness - can also see the raised platforms now The nearly knocked myself out with a stiff jack handle and ideas were a bit short coming so need a few ideas Quick release bolts go through the alloy and the box section of the trailer and need to be pinned at the bottom and all I had was a few rivits Secured for the meantime they had a bit of flex in the middle that I was not happy with so need supporting there. So knocked these up quickly : Then realised that they cant be removed and therefore will hit the door so off they came again (I blame the bang on the head from earlier) You will notice the two old holes there in the middle though so am hoping to make up a 3" by 10" plate that will quick release into those two holes. It will then either rest against the inside of the guard to prevent outwards movement or might bolt it to the guard. Ideas for the quick release bolts please as I'm currently looking all around for ideas. Bearing in mind the holes for them are currently M10 and the box section + the alloy is 1.75 - 2". Many thanks to all the help so far by the way but with 600+ views and only 5 posts is it worth me updating anymore ?

	Hi, Have you thought about using antiluces? www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=antiluce&_sacat=See-All-Categories Apologies if you already knew what they were. With the addition of a small padlock they can be a deterrent to thieves. A box section outrigger under the alloy angle with a verticle antiluce and similar in the middle will do it. Hope this helps. 	I did consider them but as ive had no experience with them I didnt know if they would give me a nice tight fitting or not ?

	Yes they work really well, use them all the time on horsebox rear doors, they do go tight but not massively so.
