So to me this means it works on a totally flat smooth road but when it hits an obstacle the "overload protection" kicks in............ and it snaps into a million pieces lol![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

WHEEL MOUNTED SNOW PLOUGH KIT
This is a revolutionary new British made patented product that turns your car into a snow plough - clearing away up to 4" of snow in front of your wheels to give you clear road to drive on so that you don't compact the snow to ice. No more being stranded when the council doesn't clear your local road.
Kit comprises two blade assemblies, one to fit to each of your front wheels.
Quicker and easier than snow chains. Fitted in minutes, removed in seconds. Packs down small into a 18" x 7" x 5" box to carry in your boot. Comprehensive kit includes all fittings and instructions.
It is available to fit most popular makes of car with wheel sizes from 13" to 17" - please specify when ordering, we will provide the kit you need. (Note that it is not yet available for vans and 4 x 4s an uprated product for those is on the way).
Design includes special quick release system and overload prevention features to prevent damage from ploughing immovable objects (like kerbs and large pot holes!).
1 year manufacturer's warranty.

Question & Answer
Q: Hi, Do you have any pictures/video of the device in operation?
A: Yes - just got to figure how to post them on youtube - then will put a link in the item description
Q: what stops this from flpping under the car or snapping wheel bolts if you hit a pothole or suck like?
A: Hi The blade linkage is designed such that the blade self levels to the road surface, compensating for camber gradient, suspension movement etc. The blade has an angled leading guide that allows it to ride up over "normal sized" bumps and pot holes. Obviously though, there is a limit to the size of obstacle that can be accomodated, so to deal with this possibility the lower portion of the arm disconnects from the upper porsion when over loaded. The upper part of the arm remains securly attached to the hub. The lower part (includig the blade) remain on the ground and can safely be driven over without damage (to blade or vehicle) - this is roughly equivalent to driving up a low kerb. The load at which this occurs is over 100 times lower than the load at which any damage to wheel bolts could occur - specifically to ensure that there is no possibility of damage to them. Best regards Torquil
