Here we have my faithful old 306 Dturbo, this was my third car after the last one was written off by some ungrateful sod in a carpark, I'm fairly sad to see it go as it was a lovely car to drive, very smooth on the road, however I no longer have the space for it or the time to work on it, (plan was to fix 'er up and run it as a cheap runabout instead of my 3.0L hilux) however I now have an offroad buggy project on its way, a go kart project in the barn and 3 mountain bikes...... anyway a few bits about the car are as follows
GOOD:
5 doors
very comfy standard dturbo bucket type seats
group 5 so very cheap insurance
phase 3 306 front bumper and side skirts - front bumper fitted by myself as the old phase2 bumper was split and had rusty foglights
cyclone alloys, refurbed in white with a red pinstripe around the outer edge all done by myself, (took flipping ages in a cold barn!!)
working non leaking sunroof!! (I KNOW
!!)
working central locking!!!
reliable engine
cheap parts
really good daily driver
good on fuel being as it is a diesel
brilliant first car
big diesel battery
can supply with or without a radio/cdplayer up to the buyer but I can include one for £50on top of the end of the auction
Not so great:
tension spring snapped in rear driverside drum brake meaning the handbrake is not working, - however the normal brakes all work fine and seeing as i'm a top bloke i have included new springs included to redo both sides!!
from memory I think the front driverside drop link was knocking slightly - these cost peanuts from local motorfactors (£10-£15), I can advise on how to do this as its a very simple operation
the car is SORN
no mot, wouldnt take much to get it through (fix handbrake issue )
aux belt a little bit squeaky on start up
just to reiterate, this will need trailering away as it has not tax or test, buyer must collect within a week or buying and I will not post however local delivery (very local!) could be arranged and no, Nigeria does NOT class as local......
