Here we have for sale my MG ZR, 2001 1.4 5 door in MG Trophy Blue.
It has just under 82000 miles on the clock and drives faultlessly. MOT until September 2012 & tax until end of May 2012. Electric sunroof, electric windows, heater etc all work fine. It has the half leather interior with the standard bucket style seats which hold you in very well. The drivers seat does have a tear on the bottom part and a piece of the leather has come off the side bolster (will add a picture of this asap), this doesnt affect anything safety wise and is purely cosmetic. I had plans to search for a complete new seat set but have never got round to doing it. The rear seats are in good condition with no tears, a few little marks here and there but nothing unusual for a car of this age. The gearstick has a metal knob as in the picture but the original one also comes with the car.
The engine runs spot on with no problems. Since I have had the car I have changed the oil/filter & replaced the coolant with fresh, all done within the last 6 months or so. There is a little bit of oil on the front of the engine but this has never given any problems & has been like this since I have owned the car (I bought it in April). The headgasket was replaced by the owner before me, somewhere around 60000 miles & there is a receipt in the paperwork for a gasket set that was purchased at the time.
With regards to the bodywork, there is a small dent in the passenger front wing. The paintwork isn't damaged at all there and dent can only be seen when your looking along the car. There are a few scratches, the worst being on the drivers door where a small chip of paint has come off (its not as bad as the pictures make it look, that is a bit I missed when cleaning!) and a few of the usual 'car park scratches' around the car. There are also some stone chips to the bottom half of the front bumper but again, nothing unusual for its age. When I bought the car the original MG badges were faded as they usually are and have been replaced with blue badges to match the paintwork & I think they do go well together.
The passenger front window has a slight issue but nothing major. When the window goes all the way up to the top it goes slightly slanted but I find if you take it just below the maximum height it still seals with no leaks. Again if I had time & was keeping the car I would replace the window mechanism. The sunroof did have a slight leak at the front passenger side corner but has since been sorted, the corner of the rubber seal just needed re-sealing.
There is a little bit of paperwork with the car including the original service book (which is stamped a few times from when the car was new, mainly oil changes etc, and a couple of old MOT's & a couple of receipts. I might take the CD player out but if so it will be replaced with another, fully functioning CD player. Car comes with 2 remote fobs, 1x key (other key is broken but still here) and 2 keys for the locking fuel cap.
All in all a great little car, I have covered around 10000 miles in it and it has never given any problems. The only reason for sale is that I have now purchased a new car but will be sad to see this one go.
