no mate, its the springs themselves that control the actual ride-height!
all you will do by pumping these up to the max is stiffen the damping effect of the shocks, not raise the height. lowering the pressure will make them softer and less able to control the spring

depends on the setup, i fitted some to front of my beetle, which has a beam with kinda leaf springs in it, they will go as low asyou have setup the car, ie i had a lowered adjustable beam, so would sit on the floor and when raised was about 7 inches higher.

No but if you pump them up enough it can/may raise the height, me mate had em on a vett and over 40 psi would start to affect the ride height by raising it ?

As Nomad said, I've got some on the Hillman. They won't lower your car but they might help you raise it a bit for more convenient use or for carrying stuff. I fitted them so that the car is still driveable when we're fully loaded with the trailer tent and all our camping gear. In that situation pumping them up to about 100psi means the car sitting only a touch lower than it does at its normal daily, empty ride height.

My Victor had air shocks on the back, it'd change height by around an inch and a half. I forget the pressures I used but 20 - 60psi seems familiar, though max they would take was more than that.
