I had a few, people kept giving them to me when i had my Hunter for some reason, I liked them.
Much like a mk2 Cortina, felt more solid than the Ford but more ponderous. Twin carb 1725 Holbay lump is an ok engine though (if you can find one) for straight lines, they don't handle badly when you push them but they are not really sporty as standard.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

Here is a pic of the Rapier I used to own years ago, it was featured in Street Machine. It was a great car, I got rid of it as the paintwork was showing its age a bit and I just fancied a change, it was a great crowd puller in its day. I wonder what happened to it, I swapped it for a White stretched Mk2 Granada Limo in the Birmingham area. By zodiac10 at 2009-04-13

i love how the front end is all Jenson Interceptor. Classy ride, but needs the V8 in its life...

Such a shame Chrysler scrapped the Rootes V6 before it went into production. It was earmarked for the Rapier as well as stillborn Humbers.

I love how the front end is all Jenson Interceptor. Classy ride, but needs the V8 in its life... I measured up for a 318 when one was available to me but there's no way it'd go in without serious chopping (and that's without thinking about tunnel or back end work). Shame as I quite fancied making a factory stock looking V8 estate...

Seth ,
A windsor fits in easy and they were used in Rootes cars. If outright handling not a priority you wouldn't need to cut firewall or radiator support panel at all. All you need is a short nose waterpump. My battery tray is even still in place ;-)
