my heap daily 106 diesel failed its MOT test a few days ago rather badly. but ive decided to stick with it as its good for tat hauling and reasonably good on the motorway...
changed the rear beam axle, rebuilt the brakes, changed the front indicator bulbs and the other bits it needed then went to get myself a number plate made.. "oh no sir you need V5 and proof of ID"
opk no problem I thought, came home, found driving license within about 5 minutes and then spent 3 days turning every nook and cranny of our house inside out looking for the V5. TO this day I still havnt found it, now as the car is pre 2001 can I legally run a numberplate on the bonnet as a sticker? I dived on the vynil cutter at work today and made myself one, its on the correct type of background and font is a plain legit style and height? or will I just refail for having a home made plate???
been on google and all the stuff I find seems to say if the car is after 2001 it needs the BS (b***sh*t) mark and the company who made the thing on but previously to that it doesnt?
confused and desperate.. got funeral in eastbourne on friday and really don't fancy riding the monkeybike there
