Hi guys, I have bought myself a saab and so my passat is up for sale . its a T plate with only 2 previous owners, has got good seats , VERY good body for the mileage, alloy wheels with 4 new tyres (other 1 will need changing soon) , central locking, electric windows, climate control, cup holders, its got lots of history too, the car has totalled 262k miles and the engine still pulls very well and the box is quiet and not a crunch in sight, the headlights have gone misty and the sump drips a little oil but nothing major I serviced the car approx 1000 miles ago (is noted in service book) in the pictures its on steels however I bought alloys for it (steels can be thrown in if wanted) Tax is out the MOT was done last week and had a new front upper arm fitted along with a new tyre! heres the link to ebay now on ebay starting at £500 with FULL MOT!!! cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230715633186Jim 07877 853201

bit of an update,
i had it MOT'd today
it failed on numberplate bulbs, one front tyre top arm on front suspension,
other than that all good
the car does Still have MOT until December 18th , but would need these things fixing to go through

my brothers scenic has died so i have given him the passat until he finds something else for himself. found out the play on the arm is just the bolt worn and not the arm, so will get all the other bits sorted and a 12 month ticket on it soon

Hi
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I am fairly sure that if a car is MOT'ed before its due date and it fails the remaining period is void. If the garage just looked over it and told you what it would fail on like a pre MOT inspection then it will be fine, but if it was registered with VOSA and failed then I'm fairly sure that this voids the remainder of the MOT

You can test a car monday, pass, take it tuesday, fail, and you will still have a valid MOT for a year.

Your car is not 'epic', this thread is not 'epic'....the OCEAN is epic, the UNIVERSE is epic.... please stop misusing this word!! It would appear Hotrods are the new VWs - aint fashion funny! '69 BUICK LESABRE 350

There's a disclaimer on the back that says blah blah "at the time of the test",then you have 364 days of legal motoring in the eyes of vosa,of course plod may see it differently, but again it's all arguable. There's a lot of mis-information out there, ive lost count how many people I've argued with that you can tax a car requiring a VIC that hasn't been checked yet,I've had people swear blind the post office refused to tax it for them. Total and utter tripe, keyboard warriors that don't live in the real world.
