Retro's an attitude not an age, and that has it in spades.

This isn't retro, get the hell of our forum with your modern sh!t, you berk On a serious note, that's classy, owner's kept himself restrained and it pays, I love this kind of car, to most people it's just a Polo and they wouldn't give it a second glance. But to those in the know (Ie, you and me) it's a gold mine of cool modifications and style

The Lupo always looked like the more natural successor to the Polo than the Polo did, the shape of this echoing styling queues from the Mk2/3 Polo with the flat top arches and pseudo-quad lights.
This is a nice example, and while I don't look at it and instantly think 'retro' this example at least seems to be in the spirit of and finished off to a nice standard. Ride height and wheels are spot on.

The Lupo always looked like the more natural successor to the Polo than the Polo did, the shape of this echoing styling queues from the Mk2/3 Polo with the flat top arches and pseudo-quad lights. After having owned 5 Mk2/3 Polo's and now owning a Mk1 Arosa I totally agree! It feels like what a Mk3 would have been like if they'd left it in production and facelifted it. Which means I love it!

It looks like the other low lupo's with roller skate wheels buzzing around Leicester.
I don't dislike it, individually its a nicely looking car, but other than the oddly chosen vRS badge its not particularly original.
I know we should be positive on here so suggestion:- why doesnt someone build a clio cup style Lupo? Stripped back to the bare essentials, but enough interior to be comfortable. Coilovers set up to handle rather than just be low, polybushes, and some lightweight rims (Team Dynamics pro race 2?) With that light weight it should go well with the minimal of mods.

Oh, I don't give a curse word about retro. I come on here for nice cars, you provide me with pics of them via this here medium and I enjoy. You may indeed be a berk but I have no desire for you to get off this forum. Lovely looking car, much like yesterday's VR6, this is exactly what I'd love to do with one. Saw a couple convoying out of Taunton the other weekend, 2 young lads at the wheel. Dawned on me that they've fallen into that budget now that various ages of Polo were filling for youngsters before. I suppose the Little 2fsters will be slamming Up!'s on classic rims in 12 or so years time . . .

Funny that Stevecrx mentions Clios, the rear of that Loop had me thinking of a Mk1 Clio when I first saw it... Anyway, cool car.
