The Ferrari F40 is, for obvious reasons, one of my all-time favourite cars, and I'm sure most kids of the eighties would agree. The other night, I went a bit mad while playing GT5 and decided to paint my virtual F40 black. And you know what? It looks awesome. So I went on an online hunt for real ones... Black definitely suits, but to be honest you could paint one any colour and I wouldn't much care.

Oh my! to me, although fantastic in std form, Id go the LM please! - just like i would rather a Pantera in gp5 form, I think within the imits of having purpose, Supercars should be just a little mental.

Interesting advice from this month's Octane magazine: if you're taking an F40 on track, don't brim the fuel tanks; the weight and pressure of the fuel can burst through the flimsy filler caps, go straight through the NACA ducts to the turbos and KERBOOM!

I've experienced someone driving one of these like it was stolen on public roads in the middle of the night, I can only describe it as a thunderstorm on four wheels.

pretty sure that used to be red?? I'm certain I had a poster of F40NTR on my wall when I was younger... I guess the guy could have sold the plate on though... Does look awesome in black... but then again it looks awesome in any colour as it's my favorite car of all time |

Didn't they all start off red? Absolutely right, although a fair few have been repainted. Rod Stewart's was finished in Giallo Fly (i.e. bright yellow). |
