Hi!
SWMBO has a mk3 2 door in 1.8 CLi form, and its got a soggy bum.
Its a bit soft in the back end, and i would like to get it cornering nicely, on the windy roads we have here, so step one is to drop it.
Now, In New Zealand, we have some special rules arround Engeneering of modified cars, I want to avoid this so the following are not allowed:
* Cut springs - never, ever legal here
* Coilovers - Must be certified
* Lowest point must be >100mm
This last point is problematic, and as a result, most spring makers do not have a listing in their NZ catalog for the mk3 - they only do the mk1 and mk4.
So has anyone got a non-VR6 mk3 thats had around a 40mm drop? is it really lower that 100mm at the lowest point?
Or does anyone have a part number for some springs that would give a -40 ish drop?
Pic of my old low kp61 as payment!
