Love what you've done to the Horizon. I think you do right taking it off the road over the winter.
My Dad had a 1.3 in the same green as the one that's just been scrapped. MUP 607T, got traded in for a Solara.

hi mate just wanted to let you know, them twin webber manifolds don`t work on the horizon because when you put the carbs on they hit the bonnet, so unless you want to cut a hole in your bonnet then it won`t fit, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I put bike carbs on mine, much easier to set up then webbers. s37.beta.photobucket.com/user/amandayork_photo/media/Picture055-2.mp4.htmlThe very rare manifold I posted on the last page is designed for a transverse fitment, so Webbers will fit under the bonnet quite happily. ;D I know bike carbs do the job, and are a lot more affordable.... but it's just not the same really is it?! If this gets under bonnet upgrades they're mostly going to be pretty ones that make nice noises.... and a pair of DCOEs with long shiny trumpets would sure fit the bill perfectly there! ;D |

Well I bought another BMW 328i drifter as a stop gap track car until my Capri is ready.... and as it was new to me I had to use it daily. The thing is they're just a bit dull, so that spurred me on to getting the Horizon back out and on the road! It just needed an alternator belt, jump start and tax disc and it was ready to go...  Then it was over to Edinburgh with my mate Chris following in his newly purchased V12 XJS...  I was shooting for a new collage there, so I had to get some cool cars making cameos. Would be rude not too! wasn't expect to see it rubbed down, you going for a factory spec paint job? Yeah, just original. It was always solid, but the last owner had done a pretty ropey DIY paintjob which had a weird texture and was a bit duller than the original paint in the door shuts etc. Plus it was covered in small dents which always bugged me. |

These hideous custom made rear springs from last year which were a complete cock up will be gone soon too! Wrong diameter and height meant cutting and reshaping was required..... along with a load of curse word in the boot to get the back end down. Even then it still wasn't low enough by a long shot...... A better solution is coming soon though!  |
