Well noise wise it's M.O.T testers discretion... As for the Hight, if you look at other caddys with stacks there quite high over the roof, probably to prevent blasting fumes in peoples faces... You best bet is to ask your local M.O.Ter. I can't see that there's any laws on where the fumes exit the exhaust as long as it's dangerous. I know you don't have to have any Gards or insulation on them so surly the Hight is irrelevant.

Agreed! I want to put a TD in my caddy, put a stack with a flap and turn the fuel pump right up so it puthers black smoke out! Ha ha!! It would probably be aweful but it looks good in my head...

Flaps also help keep the rain out I'm fairly sure I remember reading on here recently that there is actually a law against having an exhaust that potentially exits near pedestrians faces. Can you not point them backwards or upwards so they're not pointing directly at the pavement.

We did this to a few hilux's a while back
Easiest way I found was to use a Y splitter and 2 good lengths of flexi pipe with 90 degree ends to fit the base of the stack
Mounting the stacks is down to you and the way you want it styled As for the law, As Long as its not protruding outside the lines of the bed it should be fine, but theres less risk if they don't point right in peoples faces
Hope that helps
