Ok, I'm not at all technical. My 944 turbo is starting to show signs of the dreaded surface rust on the bottoms of the front wings and a few other places. I really cannot afford to get this sorted in the near future, so how can i stop it from progressing?
My friend suggested that i look on a website called Frost, but all the products just confuse me.
I also have some small rust forming on my current daily and want to be able to stop that too. Do paints like "Krust" actually work, or are they a nonsense?
Can you suggest what to use?

Krust is rubbish, lasts about a week when i've used it before. Now i only use Hydrate 80 from Bilt Hamber I have a test piece of rusty metal thats been sat in my back yard for 2 years and still isn't rusting where treated with it ;D

you need to do acouple of things, kill the rust then prevent it returning.
KRUST is a rust killer but it is not a rust preventative, the back stuff it leaves behind needs overpainting.
If you look at the POR15 range of stuff they are pretty good, metal ready takes the rust back to near bare metal, but it needs overpainting.
I'd not bother with the POR 15 topcoats, they are OK but like a thick coating on top rather than a paint in my experience. A zinc rich primer will help followed by a topcoat to seal it all.

A quick coating of simple red-oxide paint has stopped rust on my cars before. It also doesn't really need a top coat, but it will improve durability.
You have to realise that no product will truly stop or kill rust, it will always come back, what you do with it determines how long it takes before it comes back. The only way to truly get rid of it, is to cut it out.

Another vote for bilt hamber stuff. Clean it up with a wire brush, slap on some deox gel and leave for a wee while, wire brush again and wash it clean. (heavy rust may require lather-rinse-repeat) when you have clean metal, etch prime it and overcoat.
