Staying with the theme of fast Jags following the Lister thread... I know they come with a territory attached to them but all the same I do quite like old Jags and they do not seem to come much better than an E-Type to many. If your XK does go bang in one, here is one solution to that issue...: And a video of the car. Nothing too exciting: www.youtube.com/user/54etype#p/a/u/2/x2bl95PF8QA

Can't see the video in your post...
What are those wheels about? Other than that (and one exhaust being higher than the other), nice. Much prefer the XK120 though...

Pics 1-4 ooo, nice stealthly install, subtle. Pretty colour... Pic 5. oh, pity. I guess those wheels have to be there to house the modern brakes. Wouldn't say no though

I guess those wheels have to be there to house the modern brakes. Wouldn't say no though True but if you've got the money to spend on the rest of it, you've got the money to pay for a solution to this problem without making it look gash. Looking back again though, they are growing on me.

OMG that nice interior ruined with that Alpine iPod head unit and airbagged steering wheel WHY

Some days you just need to take a grinder to an inanimate object, just to make your day a tiny bit better!!

I think the problem here is that the interior and wheels combine to make it look like a kit car. Shame as the idea and technical execution are superb.

I ask myself "why" ? Sorry but it's spoilt an all time classic. IMO wheels, flared arches, grill and all of the interior look wrong. In fact even fitting a modern engine seems a bit pointless when the original was so potent. I guess it's a case of "it's their car and they can what they want" but I'd have more respect for the end result if they had taken a replica steel body and build from scratch rather than modifiying one of my dream cars.

A set of big Halibrands filling some (adjusted) flared arches would help a lot. Or a set of slots.

Gents, I suggest a look at the builder's website. It gives an idea of the scope of the thing, explains a lot of the choices made, and shows what he started with. It wasn't much of an E-type when he started. www.patsetypes.co.uk/53%20xker%20index.htmlRegards, Rich
