Hey guys, i know it might be a bit new, but this little issue it's doing my nut in. I have no time to get to this particular issue yet (other stuff to sort out first) but it would be nice to get some ideas thrown together.
Every now and then the Gearbox on my 1999 328i becomes beyond notchy. I know e46's have a notchy shift, but this is something else, it won't engage gear without a lot of effort, sometimes at all. What is making it more annoying is that this is an intermittent kinda thing. Once in a while (with no change in circumstance or outside parameters) i'll start the car up and it'll work perfect. I'm going to bleed the clutch system this week see if it might be something as stupid as that.
But apart from that it sounds like some sort of issue with the hydraulic side of the system as opposed to a 'hardware' issue within the gearbox. As it feels as if the clutch just isn't engaging far enough sometimes. Although on a similar note it gets a good whine-on which seems to suggest release bearing.
Any pointers would be received with a 'ta'.
