I'm after a 'skinny' clevis for a handbrake linkage. It needs to run 'through' the crossmember to get the reserve travel that I'd like, and I don't really want to make too big a hole in the crossmember for it. You can just about see in this photo: Prop is 8 mm above; exhausts hand about 15 mm below once the rear hangers are on; hole is centred on the clevis but there is play in the lever that it pulls and in this position its least likely to rattle... Any sources other than aircraft spruce/LAS aero? This is the type of thing I'm after but not 21.50 + VAT + post each if avoidable. Need not be new if there's a good scrapper to raid. The clevis pin on the handbrake lever is 8mm dia, and the pullrods are currently M8. Doesn't need LH and RH threads as the adjustment is not in that link. Pullrod could be swapped for 5/16" or 1/4" or M6 if needed but clevis pins need to stay 8 mm or 5/16" www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/an665.phpCheers, and a gratuitous glamour shot of the recipient: (anybody got some some XJR or Super-V8 rims?)

Try a trailer shop. Trailer brakes all use clevis like that of one sort or another.

ive just looked on their size, and id buy this- www.mcgillmotorsports.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=223then thread a short piece of thickwall tube with M 8 one end and 5/16 unf at the other (the tapping sizes are almost the same from memory) to act as a male>male adapter. its a pretty straightforward solution for less than a fiver.

I've used McGill quite a few times now for bits for the greenpower cars and they have always been excellent. Even replacing base spec rose joints with higher quality ones because they were out of stock of the cheepies on one order.
